Michael Patrick, Partner
Michael Patrick is a Partner with Renzulli Law Firm, LLP. Michael practices in the areas of intellectual property (IP), corporate and litigation and provides transactional, counseling and litigation services to clients in connection with virtually every aspect of their businesses and intellectual property, including global IP portfolio development and management, IP exploitation (licensing and merchandising), IP protection and enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, data privacy, general corporate matters, data privacy, software and technology agreements, social media and internet matters.
Michael has extensive experience in all aspects of global IP development, enforcement, and portfolio management, including IP clearance, domain name and cybersquatting, IP licensing, and product development. Michael assists clients to create and enhance brand recognition through creative, savvy strategies that align with their business goals and with respect to IP issues that arise in advertising and marketing (e.g., clearance, false or comparative advertising, endorsements, and promotions). Michael has particular experience with the establishment, negotiation and maintenance of global licensing programs. Michael also assists clients with respect to global data privacy compliance, development and implementation of internal policies, negotiation and preparation of commercial transactions, including license agreements and software agreements. Michael is also an integral member of Renzulli Law Firm’s national litigation practice, with experience litigating complex matters in courts across the United States and maintaining and enforcing trademark rights before the U.S. Trademark Trial & Appeal Board, and has experience handling a variety of entertainment matters relative to music, television and film.

Michael is a graduate of the University of Virginia (Charlottesville, Virginia) and The George Washington University Law School (Washington, D.C.). He is a member of the bars of New York and Connecticut, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of New York, Eastern District of New York and District of Connecticut and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
