Christopher Renzulli is a partner with the firm. Mr. Renzulli’s practice concentrates on civil litigation with an emphasis on product liability, mass tort litigation, premises liability, professional liability and all aspects of insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Renzulli’s practice also focuses on the Firearms and Sporting Goods industries in many capacities, including the defense of product defect claims, preparation of product literature, conducting recalls and retrofits, ATF compliance and all related issues affecting the Firearms and Sporting Goods industries. Mr. Renzulli has extensive success obtaining dismissals for his clients pursuant to the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act.
Mr. Renzulli also has unique experience with shooting ranges and the defense of claims of improper design and usage leading to errant bullets, excessive noise, personal injury, nuisance, and a host of other charges by neighbors, neighborhood associations and local governments. These claims often seek injunctive relief, the closing of a range, changes to its operations or monetary relief.
Mr. Renzulli also has extensive experience defending class actions and claims involving aviation, municipal liability, employment, false arrest, defamation, sexual misconduct, construction/labor law, escalators and elevators, dram-shop liability, environmental toxic torts and lead-paint and asbestos exposure. Presently, Mr. Renzulli manages the litigation for a commercial general liability program for retail stores in metropolitan New York and Connecticut.
Mr. Renzulli is licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut, appears throughout the country in state and federal courts, and has appeared before numerous appellate courts throughout the country on a variety of issues. Mr. Renzulli also regularly appears in all New York state courts throughout the five boroughs of New York City, as well as Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange Counties, and also practices in state and federal courts throughout Connecticut.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Renzulli was an in-house legal counsel with a major insurance brokerage firm in New York City handling all aspects of insurance regulatory and coverage issues, including the drafting of insurance policies and endorsements, as well as general insurance defense litigation.
Mr. Renzulli earned his B.A. from Pace University, majoring in English and Political Science and was invited to participate in, and completed, the Pace University Honors Program and Alpha Chi Honors Program. Mr. Renzulli earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.
Mr. Renzulli is a member of the New York State and Connecticut Bar Associations, and is active in the Defense Research Institute (DRI), Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), and the Defense Association of New York (DANY). Mr. Renzulli has also achieved Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory’s highest possible rating (“A-V Preeminent”) for legal ability and professional ethics (as rated by other lawyers and judges).
Mr. Renzulli is also very active in his community in Westchester County. He is on the Board of Directors of the New Castle Baseball and Softball Association and has participated in the Chappaqua Summer Scholarship Program. He is also a coach in his town’s soccer, baseball and football programs. Mr. Renzulli is married to Kristen Renzulli, also an attorney, and has three children, Ryan, Nicole and Brielle.
