Brian K. Johnson (Of Counsel)
Brian K. Johnson is Of Counsel to Renzulli Law Firm. He is a member of Renzulli Law Firm’s intellectual property practice group.
Brian has over 25 years of legal experience working as an IP attorney with some of the most sophisticated legal groups in the country. He has worked as in-house IP counsel representing Fortune 500 companies and his extensive experience also includes working as an IP lawyer with the largest IP law firms in New York City. Brian has experience with all aspects of IP representation and counseling including litigation, transactional matters, and client representation before the USPTO.
Brian advises and assists clients daily with regard to worldwide, intellectual property strategies and enforcement. He has experience applying-for, prosecuting and maintaining patent and trademark matters before the USPTO as well as the maintenance and management of substantial corporate IP portfolios. Brian has decades of experience as an expert in providing guidance and counsel regarding effective invention culling, patent portfolio management and patent enforcement activities. He also has decades of experience representing clients regarding their corporate branding strategies, including trademark generation, clearance, filing and portfolio maintenance through the process of leveraging those assets by way of licensing and merchandising.
Brian earned his B.S. EE, with distinction, from Pennsylvania State University (University Park), and his M.S. EE, with distinction, from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) before earning his J.D. from New York University.
Brian is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey, as well as the federal courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. Federal Circuit. Brian is also a registered patent attorney and can represent clients in patent matters before the USPTO.
