Peter V. Malfa is an associate with the firm. Mr. Malfa’s practice concentrates on civil litigation with an emphasis on product liability, construction law, premises liability, municipal liability and all aspects of insurance coverage disputes.
Mr. Malfa earned his B.A., with honors, from Fairfield University where he majored in Politics and minored in Business Law, Regulation and Ethics. He attended Quinnipiac University School of Law where he earned his J.D., cum laude, with dual concentrations in Civil Advocacy and Dispute Resolution and Criminal Law and Advocacy, which he received honors in both.
While attending Quinnipiac Law, Mr. Malfa served as a certified legal intern with the Connecticut State’s Attorney’s Office in Bridgeport, CT where he was active in all levels of trial preparation and courtroom advocacy for major-felony criminal cases and gained extensive experience interacting with various federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. Prior to receiving his law degree, Mr. Malfa also gained experience with the Administrative Enforcement Unit of the New York City Department of Buildings where he independently represented the City of New York in administrative law hearings to enforce building code violations issued against a variety of construction contractors and property owners.
Mr. Malfa’s experience in civil litigation began with his employment at a civil litigation defense firm in White Plains, NY where he defended claims against property owners, insureds, municipalities, municipal corporations and police departments in both federal and state courts.
Mr. Malfa is an experienced and credentialed emergency first responder and serves on the Board of Directors of Echo Hose Ambulance Corps. Inc., a not-for-profit ambulance corps serving the City of Shelton, Connecticut.
Mr. Malfa is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the State of Connecticut and the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Westchester County Bar Association.
